Rebuilding Notre Dame
We were given unprecedented access to the cathedral to document the restoration after the devastating 2019 fire. On the opening spread, bold typography highlights the giant hole where the spire fell through the vaulted ceiling. I carried that theme throughout the captions, and introduced black-and-white images of gargoyles to highlight these fascinating architectural details. A gatefold graphic shows in intricate detail how the features of this iconic landmark have changed through time.

For the digital story, key architectural features are illustrated by animated renderings and revealed in videos taken by drones. The presentation highlights why Notre Dame is one of France’s most cherished cultural symbols.
