The Human Population Explosion

To illustrate the world's rising population, as well as China’s decline and Nigeria’s boom, I used bold typography, a departure from most National Geographic opening spreads, which begin with photography. Here the type also emphasizes the three separate stories—on the world, China and Nigeria—in this 58-page feature package.
